Is Pure Oil Essential For Skin Care?

There is a secret to great results when making essential oil recipes. Is pure oil essential? YES! This is the secret. Remember this is your face! Do you want to heal? Do you want to prevent further damage? Do you want to regenerate you skin?

There is no point putting cheap essential oil on your face. Quality oil means quality results. Cheap oil could further damage your skin.

Some essential oils are either synthetic or adulterated.

Synthetic means fake! There are no benefits to emotions or health. It is created in a lab to smell like natural essential oil. It smells like it but it isn't :( and it is usually cheap. You can buy them at two dollar shops.

Adulterated oils are usually made to save money. Take lavender. For a few dollars you think you are getting lavender essential oil. Lavadin is much cheaper and smells the same. It is mixed with lavender and sold as lavender, but the therapeutic properties are so different!

Don't forget. Pure oil essential! To check the essential oil you are using, ask yourself these questions:

Does the bottle show its botanical name? Pure lavender essential oil is labelled Lavendula officinalis. Lavandin is labelled Lavandula fiagrans. Lavandin does not have the strong healing qualities of lavender.

Is the part of the plant used noted on the bottle? For example, cinnamon bark is a skin irritant, cinnamon leaf is not. If you have adulterated oil this could be a BIG problem.

Does it specify the country of origin? East Indian sandalwood has far better therapeutic qualities than West Indian Sandalwood.

Does the bottle specify the method of extraction? (or is it easy to find out from the company) Some essential oils have been greatly diluted by distilling the same plant material two or three times.

Is the bottle labelled "100% pure therapeutic grade essential oil?" Therapeutic grade means the plant material was distilled at low temperature and low pressure and will preserve the most chemical constituents.

Is the essential oil guaranteed organic, chemical, pesticide and heavy metal free? Some essential oils are labelled organic but preservatives and other chemicals are added during the distillation process.

Is pure oil essential? Yes!
