What essential oils are effective for treating snoring?
ANSWER: Hi Wendy I have had personal success (not on me though!) with snoring and essential oils.
I have used the number one essential oil for snoring on clients who fall asleep during a treatment and snore and my husband (who doesn't usually snore, but he does snore when he is sick).
The number one essential oil for snoring is thyme. I only use pure therapeutic grade essential oil that is guaranteed to have no chemical/pesticides/herbicides residue.
I apply one drop at the base of the big toe on each foot, where it bends and meets the sole of the foot. This is the throat reflex when reading reflexology charts.
I had another client who placed lavender and Purification* in her diffuser to help her sleep, but found the side-effect was that her partner stopped snoring!
Of course, I only use and recommend Young Living Essential Oils. *These products are only available from Young Living Essential Oils. Please visit my store for more information.
Was the peppermint oil diluted in anyway or just neat?
ANSWER: Sherry didn't provide that information, but I would only use and recommend Young Living essential oil. Start with diluting and if tolerated well, you can decrease the dilution.
this may be helpful in temporary situations, but please see a qualified health practitioner if symptoms persist.
I hope this helps.

Peppermint Essential Oil for Snoring by: Sherry
We also use Young Living Essential Oils and my husband was experiencing severe sleep apnea and snoring. Within a couple night of putting a small drop of Peppermint up each nostril before bed he stopped snoring completely.
Our oldest son was doing the same thing. When he and his wife came home for Christmas I gave him my extra bottle and he used it starting that night and has not snored since.
